Winter Walk try 1 by unSpookyLaughter Winter Walk try 1 by unSpookyLaughter
watercolor
22" x 30" Bockingford Rough

Painted using Sterling Edward's A Winter Walk:
[link]

This was a lot of first for me:
-first full sheet sized painting
-first painting using a video walkthrough
-first real attempt at full sized trees other then pine trees

Usually I'm happy to receive critique, but this was so far out of my comfort zone I'd rather not.

Thank you! I got phthalo blue on my desk, the walls, myself, and most of my pens. But I would still recommend anyone try it because it's so much fun.

I really like this piece mainly because of the very soft effect you have achieved. It almost looks like two pictures - one on the left and one on the right. I particularly like the right side with the soft background and sharp, high-contrast trees. Very effective.
